xmas partay

i actually wanted to blog about the xmas party that we had recently...

but..dont feel like doing it anymore.
in a bullet point format i would like to give a summary of that night.

• Food wasn't so nice that night, it wasnt bad but not good either.
  
• I had two xmas gift. Thanks to boon. (I took Boon's gift - wall clock, as he doesnt want it and i could hang it in my room. and i love my santaaa so much)
• Party was a little bit boring, i think the live band makes me boring. It's the same live band as the one we had for office warming party. They should change to the new one. Not that they are boring. but we need something new. :P
• Most of the time.. the activity is dancing. Perhaps, coz i dont dance. so i do not know what to do.
• Someone spill a beer on my pants. My new Levi's pants. eiwww... Stinks!!
• I notice that there's a few malay who started to drink openly. Free flow of beer and red wine. Can't resist huh!!

p/s:

1) I personally think, that for muslims, no matter how beautiful or handsome you are, the moment you drink (as in alcohol) publicly like nobody business, you are the most ugly person in the whole world. and sorry. I kinda feel disgust with this kind of people.
2) Knowing that there's a few response lab guy might be reading this. i know that i shouldnt be criticizing people in my blog, openly. i never does. but this is an exceptional.

God knows how scared i was when i saw the email landed on my mailbox, that i dont even dare to open the attachment.

Reason:
Remind me of those days, when i do not have a goodnight sleep, coz I've got exam early in the morning.

Look, there's 2B pencil. It's been ages since i last have those pencil. I think the last one that i had when i was 18 years old, during my matriculation. For this certification, we are require to use this 2B pencil as the exam is objective.

The exam is tougher than what i thought it would be. That i felt wasted, stayed awake all night and still i did not manage to answer almost half of the question confidently.

Now im waiting for the result which going to be out in 2 weeks. Praying hard that i will pass the exam. Coz to re-take that exam is really a pain that i prefer not to go through again.

and speaking of which, we have to pay MDeC, half of the fees, as they sponsored us for this cert. how much is the half?

Now u understand why im praying hard that i pass the exam, don't u?

I'll be MIA again for quite sometimes. At least until mid of sept. I've got a lot of assignments and mid semester exam is just around the corner. Not to mention, all the presentation that i have to prepare. All comes at the same time.

God, I'm breaking apart.

To add more chaos in my life, I'm thinking of doing make over for my bedroom to something like this.Hahaha. Cantik tak? Ehm ehm.. saper yang nak tolong saya cat erk? Saper erk?

I choose to go to class

Baik kan saya.

Semalam ada bbq party dekat Hilton KL. Walaupon sangat tempting nak pergi. tp saya tetap pilih nak pergi kelas juga. Ada orang seronok la saya pergi kelas dan bukan berparty. Kalo pergi party mesti hphone saya asyik bunyi 18 kali.

Masa dekat kelas, tetiba saya dengar thunder. Saya dengan Boon pon tergelak2. Padan lah muka diorang berparty. Hari hujan. Saya pon sms Ai Cheak

Me: We heard a thunder, you guys okay or already wet by now. Hahahaha
Ai Cheak: Nope, it's not raining here. We are enjoying the party and the view is so damn nice.

Me: The food must be so so only (Based on my judgement last time when we had our diner at hilton, cost us 250 approximately per person, tapi food dia adalah sangat under par. Tak sedap langsung)

Them: No, the food is really nice, especially the sausage. Bla bla bla bla... (Start la mereka nak berlagak tu, cakap pasal view la aper pelbagai)
Me: Boon, we don't have to listen to them
Boon: You la, who ask you to talk to them
Them: Ya la, No audience, no speaker ma

Me: Okay.. okay.. look.. im putting on my headphone now. Okay.. So you have no audience now.
Sambil tunjuk tangan (talk to my hand sign)

Benci la!

Saya dah siapkan assignment. Hari ni nak balik keja awal and tido puas2. Cover balik tido2 sebelum ni. 1 down, 3 more to go. Sekarang ni takut nak submit assignment. Because of the stupid turnitin. A stupid software that can detect for plagiarism. No copy paste allowed. (How can that be possible, especially when u reviewing other people work. Berdoa kepada tuhan, semoga turnitin give me green and not yellow or red)

All sets for the party. They change the 1st floor to something like this. Something beyond my expectation as i thought it will be simple and casual.






Lucky us that we got Belinda from 8tv quickie as our emcee. Shes really beautiful.

They manage to get runner up. As the judge think they really feel the song. in which the guy admit, its because he's under alcohol influence. Hahaha

I love their husky voice!!

And they really impressed me!


We are judged by them. They gave a serious comment (and some of them quite harsh too) as if we are really on American Idol.. hahahaha


And they turn the floor to the dance floor.. Its a live band... and they really makes the office warming party to HOT!!

High Office Musical

Okay cuba bayangkan high school musical, tapi tukar penari dia dengan saya, boon, ai cheak dan team member saya yang lain. Boleh bayangkan? huhu.. buruk gila..

Yer kami telah dipaksa untuk menyertai F-Secure Idol.. F-Secure what???

dan Ai Cheak dengan jayanya mencadangkan kami menari ala2 high school musical.. what???

I'm so going to be on MC on that day.. gosh...

What happen next?

Tons to updates, but i just have no time to update this blog. There's a lot of things going on. There's a wedding, trip, birthday, karaoke, works and a lot others, that some has already been deleted from my memory as my buffer starts to overflow.

We have now move to Bangsar South. Its my first day in F-Secure tower. Warghhh kitorang dah ada tower skang. Jangan main2. I love this new place. Its far beyond our expectation. When we first saw the design of this new building, we thought that its just an artist impression. But seeing the pictures turn to reality just make us goes WOW.....

But theres something that we have to adjust ourselves to, which us to work in our workstation without any partition. Yes.. there is no cubicle. We can see everybody from our place. It creates a lot of distraction in the beginning. Lucky all the team have their own room. Otherwise surely, it looks like bilik guru masa kiter sekolah-sekolah dulu. But somehow, its easy to communicate with others. We dont need to use our internal communicator. Unless its something personal. We have projector in every room, so we can just use our room for meeting if the meeting just involves us.

The only problem that i have now is Boon, he is sitting right in front of me and having to see him is really a torture. And the lift, we only have 2 lifts (which is super slow) for 10 floors.

Backup

Just when i thot i don't need to look at my code already as im pretty much done with it, disaster happened and wipe out all of my code.

A reminder to myself: backup backup.. storage is free.. (but i really thought that i have made a backup on the server. Apparently nope. I was just dreaming)

Grr, dah menitik air mata saya tadi.. (Nasib baik ni bukan final year project, kalo tak mesti saya fail kan)

Say wii

I never really enjoy games. Be it computer games, play station or whatever games. We have playstation at our house but I only played it once.

But with this one it's a bit different. I like it. I stay in the office until 7 just to play this games and forgot that someone is waiting for me.

I even think of getting one for myself. Hahaha

Perhaps it was my first time playing this game, that's why I enjoying it that much.

But really, it was fun. and boxing is the best ever. I can't believe that i knocked boon down. Hooray..

and let say NO to golf and baseball. Coz boon have his comment for that 2 games for me.

Golf: I dont know what are you doing, your ball seems like went over the flag again and again when you suppose to hit the ball into the hole

Baseball: I think you cacat la. Your eyes is not synchronize with your hand. Its either you hit the ball to early or too late.

PANAS

Updated: Mungkin sebab saya panas sangat semalam and tak sabar nak balik umah, tukar baju. Atau mungkin hati saya yang panas kot. Inilah hasilnya.....

Saya pakai kasut sebelah lain, sebelah lagi yang lain. Which i realized bila dah turun bawah dan separuh jalan nak balik. Hari tu terpakai selipar toilet (kenapa ada selipar toilet kat ofis? senang nak amik air sembahyang) masa saya dilanda food poisoning. Semalam pulak pakai sandal lain2. Bebudak ofis gelakkan, cakap saya boleh set a new trend!!



Yesterday:
Hari ni cuti ganti tuk Federal Territory Day, tp sebab saya dah drag cuti hari ni ke last week, Friday to get a long holiday, saya terpaksa bekerja hari ni.

Seriously pagi td masa bangun pegi kerja tak ingat langsung ari ni sepatutnya cuti. Bila sampai ofis baru teringat sebab centralized aircond tak bukak. Saya pakai baju ni. Material dia dah la ala-ala sweater. Panas gilllllerrrrrrr. Dah la kat dalam saya pakai tube, sebab baju ni agak low sket kat bahagian chest dia. and now, saya dah macam cacing kepanasan. Rasa macam nak bukak baju jer!!!

Cepat la 5.30.. Tak boleh tahan!!!!

Should I or should I not

continue with my master....

Reason why we think I should do it now.
1) I don't have a commitment yet. No husband, no kids, no house. In which I'm quite sure I won't be thinking of pursuing with my master when I have all those.
2) Boon and Sam is thinking of doing it now. Which means, I have friends to do it together
3) The company will sponsor us. Which means it's completely F.R.E.E and I don't have to use my own money


Reason why I hesitate of doing it now.
1) It's been 3 years and 8 months since I left university.
2) Am I mentally and physically ready for this?
3) They are thinking of doing it at UM and class will be in the evening. Traffic? Tired?
4) Have to cut down all of the berdating activity (ini alasan yang tak berapa nak wajar)
5) Can I be as persistent as I was during my degree(what if saya tak boleh complete in 2 years)
6) Lazy!!!

7) Pressure study menggunakan duit orang lebih hebat dari pressure menggunakan duit sendiri. Arghhh!!!

Hurm if I really going to do it now. I will pursue with MBA. Why not with something technical? An advice from experience people.. MBA is more useful to your career as compared to the technical... Which is good, as I'm not interested in the technical field either.

on something over unrelated topic:
My company is going to move to Bangsar in May. CRAP!!! Puchong ke Bangsar giler ker? Traffic adalah sangat menerujakan diri saya untuk pergi kerja setiap hari. So perlukah saya
1) Move to somewhere nearer?
2) Find a new job which bring me to this question "macam mana nak sambung master kalau tukar keja???"
3) Tukar office hour, maybe from 10 to 7?

Hahahaha.

Cheese Baked Prawn

Had our lunch at Jogoya, Starhill, its company New Year kick off lunch. It was my second time there after my first visit which happened somewhere last year. I wasn't managed to eat a lot last time and for RM110 per person, if I remember it right, what I ate was not worth the money that I paid. But this time, I know the trick. I spare my stomach for the food that really worth eating and did not visit the sushi counter until I have tried everything else.

What I ended up eating? Prawn, prawn and nothing other than prawn. I know, I'm not supposed to have any, but it so IRRESISTABLE. The cheese baked prawn and the king size prawn was soooo yummylicious. Oh wait, I do eat something else. A piece of BBQ chicken wing, cod fish, mussel, satay, waffle, cheese cake and lot and lots of haagen dazz ice cream..Now I start to worry what will happen to my face tomorrow. It just recover.. Praying hard now, that it will have an exception this time..

Now I hardly moved because I am 2 kilos heavier and my stomach is soo going to explode anytime soon and my cholesterol level, I bet is hitting the sky now. Already, my cholesterol level is above than normal and now….. I'll be on diet next week..ok?

Power it ON!!!

I want to create an image of the C drive and archive it in the external hard disc. But I couldn't find the external hard disc listed as the option. Thot that theres something wrong with the computer, I then ask the IT (which is david) of why the ghosting doesn't detected my hard disc.

On communicator messenger:

David: Perhaps it is already rename to something else?
Me: Nope, checked and it is not there. Positive!
David: Weird! It shud be there.
Me: It supposed to be. Sobsobsob. I want to cry already, been looking for it for more than half an hour already.
David: Hehe. Don't cry. Aruna is already on her way up to help you.

3 mins later.....

Aruna: I thot u said u want to cry. Cry first then only I help you...
Me: Hahahaha

Scene: Aruna busy finding what is wrong with the ghosting that it doesnt detect the external hard disc

Out of sudden....

Weiiii, you didn't power on the external hard disc power switch!!! What la you. Ask me to come up from the 5th floor to 18th floor, Just to tell you that you need to power on the switch...

Ohhhh... saya adalah sangat malu okay..... Rasa macam nak menyorok di bawah meja. External hard disc tu jenis yang besar yang kena pakai power cable tu. Seriously masa plugged in cable dia, ingat dah power on dah switch tu...

David: Hehe. Aruna ask me to pass this message to you. Don't forget to turn on the switch yah...
Me: Grrr

Rasa macam nak terjun luar tingkap jer. Sib baik teringat saya berada di tingkat 18....

Huh. See zaza. Walaupun result saya hebat masa di uni dulu. Selalu dapat 4 flat dan dapat first class, but this.....

is the stupidest mistake ever.....

and masa busy2 mencari ke mana hilangnya external hard disc saya tu. I discover my talent..


I've made a karipap from 'playdoh'. Mama saya tak pernah ajar buat karipap and surprisingly saya mampu membuatnya. I've decided, saya nak quit kerja and jadi penjual karipap. Muahahahahaha. Sebab jual karipap tak payah nak switch on aper2 power cable.

Hooray

My life is a total chaos right now. Haha. (and yet, I can still laugh abt it)

So that everyone know. My laptop (the one that i introduce to everybody in my yesterday's entry) is dead. Yeah!! My wish come true!! (I accidentally spilled a hot water on my laptop, Yay to me!). Depression can make you clumsy. Everybody agree?

So now, while waiting for IT to fix it and give me a temporary laptop, I'm blogging from Boon's laptop.

Who say you cannot exercise in the office

Yesterday, Ai Cheak brought her OTO Trimax to office. Being me, a freak body conscious (hahaha. Ni ayat exaggerate tau!!), I then wrap the thing on my tummy and my thigh.

Suffer from middle child syndrome, my closest friend now of how I love to be the centre of attention. (SOMETIMES je ok). So yesterday was the day when I have the chance to mempublisitikan diri saya. I manage to grab my office mate's attention as the machine makes a few beep sounds when it starts and finish and also the vibration of the machine is not a silent type of vibrate. And as the thing do the business (vibrate on my tummy), whenever people talk to me, I sounded quite funny because my voice like shaking, rhyme to the vibration.

Below are the conversation between me and Ai Cheak when I was using the machine:

Ai Cheak: You don't need to use that la. You are not fat!

Me: Who said so? I'm very fat la

Ai Cheak: Where got.

Me: (with a serious face) I think I have one problem. My face!! It sooo round, like a doughnut. Can I wrap this machine on my face arr?

Suddenly I heard everybody burst into laugh. I don't realize that I was that loud and everybody can hear me.

Ai Cheak: I think your otak kena short circuit already. Too much vibrate.

Hurm. But what is wrong with my statement? Benda ni untuk slimming, and muka saya gemuk macam doughnut sebab Azlan suka bagi saya makan doughnut. Adakah salah kalau saya nak letak kat muka saya supaya dia kurus?

Teambuilding

We had a teambuilding at Avillion Admiral Cove, PD last two weeks. The teambuilding activity was sucks (sucks with a capital S). Of all the teambuilding that I've ever been, this is the only time I feel like all I want to do is sleep in my room. But the whole weekend was not a total failure because I really love the place where we stay. With the view of endless expanse of the blue dotted from my room, it gives me this warmth comfort feeling. I actually do give a thought of having my wedding reception there. (Not anytime soon eh, saje je berangan). But serious people, if anyone of you still looking for a place to hold reception. I highly recommend this place. You definitely won't regret it. Btw, what I meant is garden wedding yah. Not the ballroom type. :P

We have our dinner by the sea and swimming pool. The theme was Hawaiian Night. I should give the credit on the dinner as well. It's not the food that is awesome but for the fun that we had. It's totally a moment to remember especially for Boon.

It was unfortunate for Boon, it sooo happen to be her birthday. Ai Cheak and Samuel did a very good job with the coconut shell which they turn it into bra. Yes, you heard me people. It's BRA. You know how we make Boon wear it? We've got HR director to cooperate with us. Hahaha. It's a brilliant idea, don't you think. Coz as soon as he announces it to the floor, Boon has no way to run, it's either he wear it or jump to the sea. Which one is better? You tell me..

To get your perception right..

Yesterday, I bumped into my x-colleague from my first company. We talk about life and continue to our current job

David: Where do you work now?

Me: F-Secure, You heard about this company before?

David: Yeah..yeah. It's antivirus company rite? To me it's quite an interesting company to work with.

Me: Yeah, the technology that you have to learn. You have to catch up with all those virus writers… blab la bla (Coz that shows how good is your product, if our product can't detect the virus and our competitor can. Of course, tak de bisnes la kan)

David: I was thinking, do you have a team who create the virus. Because I wonder where do you guys get the virus sample (Naahhhh…. I've got this a lot from people when they know that I work with Antivirus Company)

And to answer everyone's curiosity:

NOPE, we don't create virus. The virus writer did. We just detect it. At least not at my company.

How do we get the sample?

We have a honey pot for virus feed. From there we analyze (reverse engineering involve here) and if it is determine as malicious, we will add the footprint to our database detection.

But I prefer to get this kind of question rather then "F-Secure? Ni company yang jaga parking kereta tu ker?) Believe it or not, I've got that before. Nak gelak pon ada.

What do you paid for?

This is what we do at work. PS3 anyone? If you think you can drift better than me. By all means.... (Cheh..cakap macam pandai jer, padahal bila time drift boleh tersalah track - kereta berpusing 180 degrees and then akan ada warning " Wrong way!!!") Muahahahaha. Takper practise makes perfect kan.
